Have elementary auto mount Phones/ Media devices when plugged in

A lot of people have smart phones and many use their computer to manage files, add music, copy/backup pictures, etc. there should be a way (mtp?) to have smartphones auto mount when plugged in so that newer users don't have to hop in the command line and try to make it mount themselves in cli. if not automount at the very least there should be an implemented solution like including mtp in elementary so all users have to do is run one command themselves. This would make managing smartphones and other multimedia devices much easier and more user friendly.
